2009 writeup

2009 started with 2 days off work and me and Tim going mountain biking in whitford forest... my first and last mountain biking trip at da mo. there was a definate sense of seperation from the issues of 2008... no more ties to the "gr8 satan" as none of my mates worker there anymore (jaxx left in october of 2008). so with the issues of 2008 dead and buried it was safe to assume that 2009 was gonna be a sweet year right? WRONG. yes the issues of 2008 had bid me a good riddance but the problems of 2009 were sayin "gidday mate". infact that saying is quite appropraite as a lot of the issues had an australian connection to them. i mentioned in my 2008 blog that facebook wasn't a problem in 2008.... but it was in 2009!! infact i'd go so far to say that it single handedly wrecked several of my friendships and destroyed the muskateers clan. i won't go into details as to what happened cos you can check all my blogs to see all my rants about that haha.

but 2009 was a great year for my job..... settled into post well and enjoyed myself... got on several new runs and by the end of the year was finding that my new home was my workplace. even so i still didn't really hang out with anyone from nzpost outside of work.... until the end of the year. Andrea and i are sorta becoming good friends and now even ppl like eva are keen on hanging with her so she is officially part of the muskateers.... which thanx to Eva is still together. Eva is very good at organising outings and we had heaps in 2009... if it wasn't for Eva the muskateers wouldn't exist anymore.

another feature of 2009 is the addition of scott and wazza to my friends list. at the start they were just friends of evas but now they are like eva to me... infact at times i only hang with them. ok and now for kitesurfing..... didn't do much but when i went out i really enjoyed myself.... got lots of new gear too... a signal that i ain't quitting any time soon.

BUSY BUSY BUSY but great timing

Well it looks like im staying in Howick now.  Since my last post there has been issues with another Howick postie... but for a different reason and nothing to do with work.  there are two quotes which ring true in my mind at da mo... both relating to arguing.... i hate argueing... its a gross waste of time and energy... time and energy which i dont have at da mo.  I will also only argue my point if i think there is hope in resolving a crisis... and this latest crisis is beyond help imo.  It definately doesnt need my input anyway... and now that im run off my feet at work with day after day of 3pm finishes (used to finish at midday) i see no need to flog a dead horse... id rather just watch it decompose... ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Currently experiencing issues with my internet... changed over to a different net company and whilst the connection itself is working well... my laptop doesnt seem to be towing the line so im on my Vodem which at my place has bad rec...

Jaxx 40th

yes it finally being written up haha... here it is. All fears of any flashpoints between me and Eva were quickly put to rest as we both got along well for setting up the balloons etc.... but i was basically in my "i'm a male i'm there to EAT" state. i had no intention at all of dancing... well the rest is history really as i DID dance. I did manage to get down to 80kgs for the party as i had hoped to do... anyway rolled up to Skots place with Stipe and stoked the male psyche by talking about food and metal whilst watching MMA cage fighting on the tele.  The 5 of us then piled into my car... me, David, Stipe, Skot and Duff... i was the only one under 100kgs... our total weight was over half a ton lols but white lightning was up to da task. Once at da CNB however i put on my more girly state (similiar to what i was like in 2008 and 2009)... danced, posed and even kissed Jaxx under the kissing bell.  Lots of alcohol was drunk but i didn't drink.  quite funny as...

HOLIDAYS

I'm in the middle of my longest break from work since i started at nzp.  it's goin well btw and i've had LOTS of sleep hahaha.  as for a genuine holiday (ie when it's just ME that's not working) i dunno yet.  i didn't put in for holidays during may but at da mo i'm not fussed.  My entitlement starts in August but remember that i do plan on having a month in OZ next Jan.... of course that may not occur.  i will be taking holidays as i'm entitled to them however as i don't want to have anything owing to me in view of what happened with maccas and the fiasco surrounding that.
