 Basically with thousands of new cases every day now it’s sorta a real possibility that catching Omicron will occur.  Of course that means isolation for 10 days… now I don’t know what the story is regarding essential workers… now I’ve heard that CRITICAL workers can return to work after a negative RAT test but dunno if essential and critical are the same thing.  If not then I guess I’ll be chilling at home for 10 days solid haha.  If yes then I guess I’ll finally be finding out what those RAT tests are all about haha.  I remember the mysticism surrounding the PCR tests when they first came out (well in the mainstream anyway as they’ve actually been around for quite a while before Covid and are used to check for other viruses).  I remember the first test was different to the ones I’ve had since as the first test I was not in my car it was when I was at my GP and getting a medical cert for a cold I had.  Doc asked me if I wanted to get a COVID test just ...

 Ok so Wellington is a goer in a few months time.  I plan to go even if the COVID protest is still happening as I can head through the “back door” via Tawa etc… amazing valleys in Wellington, real nice suburbs love it down there.   Omicron is in full swing and we are getting heaps of new cases now… remember unlike previous outbreaks we haven’t locked down so of course it will spread much more so let’s see what happens.  We are in so-called phase 2 of the red light setting which basically means we are getting ready for it to go next level.   

As Omicron has entered the building I’ve been slowly stocking up in preparation for a potential isolation.  I routinely get tested as I visit my parents on a weekly basis and whilst the vaccines slow the spread they don’t stop it.  Anyway still waiting on the result of my leave application regarding the visit to my brothers place in Wellington.  Later on this year I also have that cruise I’m heading on.... that’s in November.  Will be interesting what happens there... I still need to pay the fare for that one.  it’s a western themed cruise... but I’ll just stay in my cabin and be lazy haha. 

 arm isn’t sore anymore so really I’m just resting.... made easier by the sound of rain.... made HARDER by the humidity.  oh well one can try.  I’ve put in for holidays as I plan t9 head down t9 Wellington again to see my Brother.  Still waiting for result of my leave application... once I get it from Hells I can try get time off from the Herald.  Then only the small task of getting my car ready and hoping that we don’t go into lockdown.  The last trip was cancelled due to the Delta outbreak in August.  This time round Omicron is doing the rounds.  That’s ok I’m boosted now and mask up wherever I go and get tested regularity.  In keeping with cafe boy styles etc haha. 

Sore arm is subsiding and the slight fever I had has gone too. Had a nice bit of sleep. It’s been about 26 hours since I had the jab.  Just finished the Heralds with no dramas… no miscreants… and no rain! Haha stoked about the last one especially.   Nice and sore though but struggled less today than what I normally do when I’m having a Tourette’s attack… just shows how much of an issue Tourette’s can be… and in a country like NZ disabled ppl aren’t exactly treated very good…. As indicated by the referendum in 2020 regarding Cannabis… I didn’t realise over 50% of the country were religious fruit loops.  Oh well I guess this country deserves these harsh COVID restrictions… that’s what you get when you tell the govt “choke me daddy”.  Haha the COVID things been great and I legitly support the govts response…. Ppl going on about the UK etc etc… but the UK and the US had no other option but to live with the virus as they don’t have the advantage of being “over there somewhere”… our disadvantages are our health system which is not geared to handle a large amount of very sick ppl… so it makes sense to use...

Nice and sore now…. The old body aches etc.  quite nice actually especially with rain expected.  Just a matter of getting the papers done before it really starts in earnest.  It’s still quite early and I normally don’t start the papers until about 5am due to undesirables out there but if it means not getting soaking wet then it’s worth it.  It’s all a balancing act dealing with the 4 main threat categories…. Idiots, ppl who can’t drive, vigilantes and of course police.    I prefer it there is nobody at all out there…. But then again that’s what I prefer always… haha the best thing to ever happen to me would be to wake up one day and all the ppl would have disappeared from this planet…. Like a world after ppl but I’m still here HAHA.  For once NZ would be a sweet place to be as no nuclear power stations to melt down and no dangerous wildlife to contend with. 

 Ok got jabbed this morning… true to my word I’ll be going offline regarding Facebook… but fully online here though.  Anyway arms a little sore but no real symptoms yet… hinting at it though. Last time I got aches and it was actually quite pleasant as I got heaps of sleep.  it is meant to rain so even more of a reason to hunker down in bed and chill and game… but alas that isn’t yet… a man must work and to Hell I go.   

 yep the booster jab is booked for tomorrow morning. I will give you regular updates on how it goes.  Haha I dunno if I’ll try and get a rush out of it... ie try and look at the needle cos last time when I was having number 2 the guy jabbing me put his hand in the way cos I kept trying to look at the needle and getting all excited... haha next they’ll be putting their hands over my eyes LOL.  Haha just like at the dentist when they pull my teeth one do the girls had their hands around my chin and the other was working the pliers.  That happened just before the pandemic started and was my last tooth extraction.
