The hols are falling to bits

Ok you know how i was planning those 4 outings.... well lets just say that things mite not turn out as they expected... then again they never do haha. The overlander trip to Wellie has now been cancelled and the trip to Queensland in Jan next year is now up in the air.  But the trip to Sydney for New Years to see Craig may still go ahead. also going ahead is the plane trip to Wellie to see Paul and this is now happening in just over a weeks time... on May 9th.  But of course i going with mum and dad so really don't have to do much apart from gettin ready haha... lookin forward to it.  Interesting to see how i handle being on a plane. Anyway speaking of hols i will be on holiday in late June and early July... this was so i could go on da train to wellie but now i'm just gonna chill in akl... hopefully do some kitesurfing etc.  Maybe some social outings but i guess it just depends on how things work out in the next few months. We played pool on Thursday nite....

2000

At the end of 1999 i was started to know the burgers... at the start of the new mellinium it was DEAD as a dodo for half an hour.... then it went NUTS!!  This was by far the most busiest shift i had at maccas... this was wild but it was fun too as it was a party sorta atmosphere and everyone was happy cos it was the year 2000! haha stoked. But before long reality set in and life was normal.  My cousin Eddie married his long time girlfriend Tina in Feb of that year.  I wasn't feeling too good... quite knackered, edgy etc.  Within a few days THING II was in session and basically the same crap that happened as in 1999.  Of course i knew what it was but you still have the panic attacks.  This time round it was mostly anxiety and tenseness as opposed to full blooded panic attacks and yep the weight went down again.  It had risen slightly since i started at maccas... got up to about 78kgs... but now it was plummeting again and bottomed out at 67kgs... i wa...

1999

This was the last of many things for me and at the end of the year signalled an abrupt turn in career path.  But at the start of the year it was business as usual.  saw in the new year at a friends place... quite a few of us from church.  Although i didn't go to church on a regular basis i still hung with christians quite a bit as the eastside god squad was at its peak right about now.  The latest addition to the group was Craig's friend Sajin from tech.  however this year would definately see me distance myself from the church even further... def drifting away this year.  I still had my shoulder injury to contend with but for my new hobby windsurfing it wasn't causing too many problems.  I would windsurf lots.... it totally took over from surfing and infact i didn't do much surfing or bodyboarding that year. why go all the way out to piha when you can just windsurf down the road?  However the conditions that summer were great for surfing and we...

Had a few good outings.... quite action packed at da mo

Been out quite a few times.  went to driving range yday with Wazza.  Went to starbux the nite before with Wazza, Skot and Duffy... so yeah a guys outing.  On thursday nite though we had a big night out starting with Starbux and then ended with pool.  Jaxx came along too... wasn't expecting her to tag along and play pool but she did and as allways she looked the part.  I've been helping Jaxx do some furniture moving as her son is moving flats again.  The pics of the outing are on my facebook page... i do eventually plan to have my own website up and running but in da mean time my main webpage is facebook. I still need to get a WOF for da sentra... now at times like this i'm glad i bought the Jeep.  unfortunately the jeep has no bike rack so can't do the c motor rounds at work.. so stuck on da bike out rounds at da mo.  These rounds are 42,23 and 49.. they are really nice rounds but i do miss that fuel allowance that you get with rounds like 45, 5...

1998

1998 was the first year that i stopped going to church on a regular basis.  It was also the first year that i fully got into watersports.  In 1997 it was surfing mostly but i only went out with Alan, Tim and Craig.  This year i would start going out by myself.  I also got into bodyboarding.  I still had my mitsi mirage that i got in 1994 and being a hatch i could fit my 7ft 6in mini mal in the car so didn't need a roofrack.  I immediately took to bosyboarding and now i could ride waves without getting smashed every time.  Still i really only rode waves no taller than my height.  The 97/98 summer was very hot and dry and the weather was amazing.  Lots of time in da water, not so much surfing but more just hanging out in the local eastside swimmin holes... no waves there.  96/97 summer was also quite warm at da end with a very defined sultry spell in March of 1997.... this would continue in da 98/99 summer too... 99/00 was more back to n...

1997

1997 was another one of those big years.  got inot surfing right at the beginning of the year but found out it was real scary... pretty much got my ass kicked by the surf when i went out... really struggled... in fact even now in 2010 i STILL can't surf.  this was one sport that i NEVER was able to tame... PWNED!  However i learnt valuable respect for mother ocean and whilst i never took to surfing i got into bodyboarding and i did do better at this... however for most of 1997 i was surfing with Tim and Craig and occasionally went bodyboarding with Alan and Andrew Seward.  Infact this year would see me really start hanging with these 3 christian brothers.  I still hung with Josh but not like in 1996.... still he came to some of our outings and he allready knew the Seward brothers. I worked fulltime at stringer engineering but now just mostly a dogsbody...  when i was put on a machine it normally ended in tears... i was really shite there now.  infact...

1996

1996 was a semi transitional year for me... it was basicially the very very start of my imfamous "10 years of seperation" which didn't really officially start until 1997. Anyway with Tim and Aaron gone from the church i basically had to sorta start afresh with my mates at church.... not too hard considering that i had Stipe, Craig and the arrivial of 3 brothers from another church who would be huge in da next 10 years at least.  They were Andrew, Phil and Alan Seward.  All 3 were engineers and all 3 fitted into the eastside god squad perfectly.  Then there was Josh who i hung around with HEAPS in 1996. Got into rockclimbing this year too, and computer games, still doing the gym (i used to go with one of my mates who lived down da road from in Cornelian... Skot Arnold). So yeah i was quite busy... unfortunately Tech was on its way out... failing terribly this year and dropped out midway through the year.  This also adversly affected my job at Stringer engioneeri...

1995

Saw 1995 in at work.  It started well enough but fell to pieces real quickly once we moved into our rental property due to us moving house.  Two teenagers, a stressed out middle aged male and a middle aged female shouldn't be living in such cramped conditions and things quickly got ugly between me and dad.  infact my teenage years were known for me and dad not exactly getting on that well.  my bedroom wasn't even big enuf to swing a cat... so as a result i wasn't home that much.... going to church, hanging with tim and aaron... either that or i was going to da gym or bowling at da cricket nets.  I used to love bowling at da nets.... i used to go down there and just bowl... anyone that wanted to bat against me was most welcome.  i went there solo so it didn't matter if no-one else was there cos i was bowling and as a result didn't need anyone else.  Things at Shell went from bad to worse.  It was the pits now and it was only a matter of time before...

getting ready for trips

mmmmm in 12 months time i would have travelled 4 times.... thats 4 times more than what i normally do.  i'm doing my homework beforehand though as i have no idea as to what i'm doing.  Here are the trips.... MAY 2010:  1 day:  Me, mum and dad are flying down to see my bro and to celebrate Jaspers first bday.  Parents taking care of everything, staying in motel... its like the good old days when i lived with da folks lol. JUNE 2010: 4 days:  Visiting Paul in Wellie... staying at his place.... trip still needs to be sorted with Paul and i've had a few hiccups with getting time off from work.  Was gonna be in mid June but is now more like early July... in skool holidays?  damn i wanted peace n quiet on da train.... yep i'm gonna use the overlander..... never been on this brilliant train before and wanna see the beautiful NZ countryside without having to keep my eyes on da road lol END OF DEC 2010: 3 days Visitiing Craig in Sydney to celebrate th...

1994

My first year with no skool... started full of promise but soon turned into a nightmare.  Reality bit hard.  My latest craze was wharfjumping... i went with Tim and few ppl from church.  In 1993 Tim got his first girlfriend.  My other mate Aaron also got himself a woman.... no prizes for guessing what happened next.  Yeah we fell out haha as allways.  1994 really saw me having issues with ppl in da church.  By now life outside church didn't really exist.  My RC car racing fell apart in April and to this date i have never been racing since. At 18 the world should have been my oyster but instead it was a shark that bit me in too.  It had some tasty bits though... I got my first car... now THAT was cool.  A 1982 Mitsi Mirage hatchback... shit did i have fun in that car... i was still young, dumb and full of cum... i was 18 after all.  Tim and i used to take it to the end of eastern beach (the end part was a paddock back then) and we ...

1993

Well in the middle of our trip around Otago.  for my 17th bday i took da leap and went bungy jumping at Queenstown...  150ft off a bridge haha.  Had a great time in Otago and southland.  The South Island in general is amazing country.  When back in auckland i basically got back into the church etc.  Last year of skool but to be honest my grades were dropping bigtime and at the end of the year i only just passed Bursary.  I tried Scholorship but got my arse kicked... averaging about 20% in the 4 exams i sat lol.  although i wasn't quite as moody as i was in 1992 or the following year in 1994 i still had my issues especially Autumn and Spring.  Winter was a very good period for me in regards to churchy stuff.  Infact 1993 was the year of christianity for me.  one memorable occasion was the trip to Waiwera in August when i went down the slides backward and knocked myself out and fell asleep in the very hot pool with the fish on top o...

1992

First full year of being a christian.  Was at 6th form at skool.  no longer into the WWF... stopped watching that in late 1990 but would get back into it in 1997.  But at da mo was basically into church and RC cars.  my skool work fell away this year and would decline even more in 1993.  Infact i allmost decided not to do 7th form and goto tech instead... but was convinced to do 7th form. Anyway for me this was the year of RC cars.  I tasted quite a bit of success... in Jan got third in the NZ junior champs (16 years and under).  In 1991 Paul got in to bike riding so no longer raced RC cars... now it was just me with Dad hepling out with Papakura RC car club... he was one of the main guys running the club now so he didn't race.  Things got quite competative this year for me and sometimes even saw RC car racing as a chore... especially as i did it on Sunday... clashing with morning church.  My often religious attitude was starting to cause p...

1991

This year things really started to happen.... but it started good enuf.  I got into ACDC... expecting them to be genuine heavy metal like Iron Maiden etc but they are more Hard Rock than Metal.  This year was important for me as it was Skool Cert and being in Nerd Wars i was hitting the books before the skool year had even begun!  I was however to take on a subject that i had never done before... Metalwork.  totally different to the exam subjects like Science and Maths... this was all internal.  But i knew nothing about genuine metalwork working with lathes, milling machines etc... and of course my favourite... welding haha.  But our teacher was cool.... i remember in all other classes the teachers would teel you off for swearing but nah not in metal work... every second work was an f word and Lindgreen was the coolest teacher ever.  Him and I got on really well and even now 18 years later we still chat on the odd occasions.  However i did struggl...

Great weather

Wow i'm liking this calm, sunny weather we having in Auckland at da mo.  Cold in the mornings and warming up to about 22 degrees so nice and cosy.  Great for doing the mail.  I've been sorta limited to the bike out runs at da mo because my Sentra needs a warrant (yea that time of year again) but not going for one until i get my window fixed.  So as a result i've been taking the Jeep to work just incase i'm put on a drive out run (54, 53, 45) and i can quickly zip home and change cars once i'm ready to deliver my mail.... the depot is not a good place to park an unwarranted car as meter maids patrol the area... learnt the hard way several years ago that they also patrol the pak plaza as well. i have however since been told that i'm gonna be staying on bikeout runs for the time being so i may try biking to work tomorrow... c wot happens.  I am expected to go on a new run in the next few weeks (prob when Liz comes back) and initially it was gonna be 31... but now l...

1990

ok from 1990 onwards each year was sorta signified by a certain apsect that that year majored in... ie RC CARS, kitesurfing, church etc etc.  Each year had a different theme lol... hey i didn't plan this... it just happened.  1990 ironically enuf was the year of girls... funny that the first thing a year is known for is the very thing that i don't have much to do with. Anyway in 1989 i got into Motley Crue... stayed with the Motley Crue theme for most of 1990 and music taste was getting heavier and heavier.  in the middle of the year i finally took the plunge and got some REAL heavy metal (ie stuff not played on the radio).  My mum of course was worried... she saw the story about the guy who shot himself cos he listened to Judas Priest and was worried that i would try and kill myself.  i was a moody sorta person and prone to outbursts... definately quite antisocial and gory too.  i was still into radio controlled cars in a big way and as i was competing i...

winter mode

Hey things have been pretty busy, lots of outings.  CNB the other Saturday, Currently on easter break from work and even managed to grab a couple of kite sessions out at eastern beach.  2010 for me has sorta seen a gradual swing to old skool Tuxx times.  Back in 1997 to 2007 i was in a period called "10 years of seperation".  This periods was symbolised by obsession with watersports (kiting, surfing etc), lack of female company (ie i hung around with males) and very imformal attire like shorts and t shirt etc.  In the early years it was also symbolised by being big.  I also call it "winter mode" as i'm more likely to kitesurf in winter, tend to hang around with blokes more, dress more casually and tend to be bigger.  This winter i plan to get huge... possibly over 100kg but definately wanna exceed 90kg.  This shouldn't be too hard as i've been hovering in the mid 80s for the last few months so to be honest all i have to do is hit the weights and i...

1989

My first year of college.  Quite scary to be honest.  Our form teacher was a big dude who was one of the "caners" in our skool.... yes he used to tell us all about it hehe.  But he was pretty cool.  Back then caning etc was still allowed... i think 1989 was the last year.  I remember in 2002 when i started at maccas pakuranga i was like the old dude (26) as all the other guys were like 16, 17 etc.  They couldn't believe that they caned when i was at skool.  i felt like telling them all my war stories too lmao (i'm kidding btw). Anyway i was only there for a term as we relocated to Auckland in May of that year.  We looked in several areas including Greenlane, Epsom etc and also out east in Bucklands Beach.  Schooling was the main reason why we were in these areas as Macleans and Auckland Grammer both had excellent reputations. In the end we bought a place out in Bucklands Beach just down the road from one of my mates that used to live near u...

1988

in 1987 i started racing Radio controlled cars at a track in Mana... bout 10km north of Tawa. In 1988 i was entering several events including the nationals in Lower Hutt.  RC car racing was huge back then and it was now a family affair with my brother and Dad both racing too.  It was so cool.  Mum would come along and chat to everyone and make usre there were heaps of cups of lemonade and plenty of biscuits... everything was so Kiwi... it was really cool.  i loved racing RC cars.... the comps got quite tense sometimes... remember i was 12 years old and racing against grown men.  i wasn't the only grom though... plenty of us young little upstarts all eager to beat these old guys haha.  but at club level it was just plain fun.  At skool i was behaving myself way more this year... getting all my homework done and doing better at sports etc.  Infact 1988 was a very good year for me.  I started getting more into rap and metal... back then rap me...

1987

11th bday and spent it in the rental place in Wellington.  All lookin forward to moving into our new place.  Also stoked at starting skool at Tawa Intermediate... lol first time ever in skool uniform.  No uniform in Pri skool and no uniform in America either so this was wierd.  haha anyway i survived.  We did get homework but not as much as in america.  So much more relaxed in NZ.. it really is... well back then anyway.  Dunno bout now... guess it depends where you are in NZ or America.  But i was still a naughty boy.. not doing my homework etc haha.  not as bad as America though.  omg it was great to run around again... on GRASS.  No grass in our skool in America.. concrete jungle, bloody hell.  Great to play rugby, bullrush, tag again once back in NZ.  back to being kids again lol.  Back then everyone walked home from skool and our walk once we got our new place involved going up at least 250 steps to get to our pla...
