Red light

 Yep Omicron has entered the chat and with it the country plunged into its strictest non lockdown setting.  The traffic light system focusses on seating and masks at venues as opposed to limiting a persons activities and movements so technically not a lockdown… not even a level 3.   for me however this means that I’m staying home and staying away from cafes and socialising however in special circumstances I may still do so.   Under orange I made sure I got tested before I did anything but under red I don’t need to as I’m not doing anything… so gives the nose a bit of a breather.   Haven’t had the RAT test yet though but these are gonna be introduced as arguably the main means of routine testing in an established outbreak whereas the PCR test will be mostly for ppl with symptoms.  I wonder when the RAT tests will be used in the testing stations.  Anyway RED LIGHT.  from those coming from my Facebook page… good afternoon… fb page will be offline onc...

2021 writeup

 I’ll be honest 2021 was not as good as 2020... the second year of the “Covid era” however was still much better than several years in the 2010s.... mind you that’s not a hard achievement.  It still beats the bottom three which was 2015, 2016 and 2019 but I’m not gonna give it a ranking in that era as the Covid era is unique with a unique set of challenges... most of them good as you know I’m not Arderns biggest critic regarding this countrys handing of the pandemic.   But unfortunately other shit happened as well which is normally bad.  I’ve had longtime friend Aston living with me which was the main difference to 2020... which was mostly spent alone.  Aston has been here most of the year... save for a few days at the beginning.  Things haven’t really worked out regarding the plans for me and him... and his gf Nancy... who also resided here on occasions.  that said he’s one of the better flat mates which explains why he’s still here after a year when ...
