prepping for isolation

 Basically with thousands of new cases every day now it’s sorta a real possibility that catching Omicron will occur.  Of course that means isolation for 10 days… now I don’t know what the story is regarding essential workers… now I’ve heard that CRITICAL workers can return to work after a negative RAT test but dunno if essential and critical are the same thing.  If not then I guess I’ll be chilling at home for 10 days solid haha.  If yes then I guess I’ll finally be finding out what those RAT tests are all about haha.  I remember the mysticism surrounding the PCR tests when they first came out (well in the mainstream anyway as they’ve actually been around for quite a while before Covid and are used to check for other viruses).  I remember the first test was different to the ones I’ve had since as the first test I was not in my car it was when I was at my GP and getting a medical cert for a cold I had.  Doc asked me if I wanted to get a COVID test just incase and I said “yeah mite as well see what the fuss is about haha”.  So he got all kitted up in his HAZMAT gear and then tried the right nostril and he couldn’t find the hole and I joked that my nostrils were too narrow and he tried the other side… no problems there I think it was my head angle as it’s tempting to tilt your head back.  Of course I like making an occasion of it and being all light hearted and anyway that test he actually wiggled it around for easily 10 seconds in the nasal cavity (not the fleshy part of the nose) and then went right back and took some from actual throat.  When it came out again there was some nice green gunge on the swab (not boogers as those are in the actual nose part).  Haha that was prob cos I was actually sick… normally when I get tested it doesn’t go right back to my throat but all the experienced guys who know ive had so many of them know I can handle the probe going right in where their fingers are almost roughing the tip of my nose haha. I’m just chilling there whilst this 5 inch cotton bud is all the way up my snot machine and been wiggled around for about 10 seconds… haha and I’m falling asleep it’s quite relaxing.  

Did I gross you out?  well if not then let’s just say that I’m on the shitter as I’m typing this so yeah vomit in your mouth a bit.  Anyway as someone said on the news…. Buckle up… could be a fun ride the next few months… I need to get those Uber deliveries cranking as much as possible incase I catch anything…
