Isolation almost over... change to 7 days effective VERY soon

Ok I managed to keep out of the sights of Megatron's fusion cannon despite close contact at a cafe with a friend who has COVID and is still quite sick (guys this virus is real I know of at least 2 ppl that have come down with it).  Then of course the other person who has it lives in the back room of my house so Megatron IS in the house... literally... just not in my room. anyway it’s about 1030 pm and at midnight the isolation criteria officially changes from 10 days to 7 days. Now I’m in my 9th day of isolation so once that change takes effect I’m no longer legally required to isolate.  Now as a critical worker (I’m in media) I have been continuing my Herald deliveries as I’m negative and don’t have symptoms.  Now I’ve taken a total of three RAT tests... one at the start when I had symptoms when I was surprised at my negative result and then one at day 3 and one at day 7 which I jokingly refer to as my parole hearing.  I got negative for all three although I honestly dunno how well I tested myself.  I honestly prefer having someone else do the swabbing but understand the manpower required to test thousands of ppl per day.  I wouldn’t mind going to my doctor next time and getting them to swab me next time just so I know how it’s done properly but I’ll wait till I have symptoms before I do so.  Remember I still have yet to have my turn so whilst I dodged a bullet this time m still far from being out of the firing line as Megatron is lurking everywhere and once I venture out into the big wide world again the chances of me encountering the virus is all too real.  At the mo no plans have been changed and until I are symptomatic I will continue things as normal but maybe stay home a bit more as I quite like this whole isolating thing and are back into gaming with a passion as this setup worked perfectly during isolation.  Also obviously with the price of petrol skyrocketing it’s extra incentive to stay home and avoid non essential usage of my car.  Speaking of which I had to break isolation today in order to change the tyre as i got a flat the other day when doing the papers.... hurray.  

Anyway still haven’t started my podcasts on YouTube regarding my Tourette’s channel but mite do that soon

BUSY BUSY BUSY but great timing

Well it looks like im staying in Howick now.  Since my last post there has been issues with another Howick postie... but for a different reason and nothing to do with work.  there are two quotes which ring true in my mind at da mo... both relating to arguing.... i hate argueing... its a gross waste of time and energy... time and energy which i dont have at da mo.  I will also only argue my point if i think there is hope in resolving a crisis... and this latest crisis is beyond help imo.  It definately doesnt need my input anyway... and now that im run off my feet at work with day after day of 3pm finishes (used to finish at midday) i see no need to flog a dead horse... id rather just watch it decompose... ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Currently experiencing issues with my internet... changed over to a different net company and whilst the connection itself is working well... my laptop doesnt seem to be towing the line so im on my Vodem which at my place has bad rec...

Jaxx 40th

yes it finally being written up haha... here it is. All fears of any flashpoints between me and Eva were quickly put to rest as we both got along well for setting up the balloons etc.... but i was basically in my "i'm a male i'm there to EAT" state. i had no intention at all of dancing... well the rest is history really as i DID dance. I did manage to get down to 80kgs for the party as i had hoped to do... anyway rolled up to Skots place with Stipe and stoked the male psyche by talking about food and metal whilst watching MMA cage fighting on the tele.  The 5 of us then piled into my car... me, David, Stipe, Skot and Duff... i was the only one under 100kgs... our total weight was over half a ton lols but white lightning was up to da task. Once at da CNB however i put on my more girly state (similiar to what i was like in 2008 and 2009)... danced, posed and even kissed Jaxx under the kissing bell.  Lots of alcohol was drunk but i didn't drink.  quite funny as...

HOLIDAYS

I'm in the middle of my longest break from work since i started at nzp.  it's goin well btw and i've had LOTS of sleep hahaha.  as for a genuine holiday (ie when it's just ME that's not working) i dunno yet.  i didn't put in for holidays during may but at da mo i'm not fussed.  My entitlement starts in August but remember that i do plan on having a month in OZ next Jan.... of course that may not occur.  i will be taking holidays as i'm entitled to them however as i don't want to have anything owing to me in view of what happened with maccas and the fiasco surrounding that.
