2008 - yeah i know it's an old blog haha

ok its the end of 2009 NOT 2008 haha. but at the beginning of the year i sed i was gonna writeup 2008 but never did. So i'm doing it now. Anyway 2008 was the year which i transitioned from a kitefreak to a social freak... it was also the year where i changed jobs. This was without doubt the highlight of the year for me. But it wouldn't have occured if it wasn't for me getting pissed off with kiting... and maccas.

at the start i was a kiter.... but Jaxx and i were starting to become quite good friends and her and i started to hang out more and more. When she started at maccas pakurange in April that was the turning point for me... as was becoming a manager. I had sorta lost patience with Aucklands often annoying wind and were keen on change. Unfortunately my pet peeves never leave me... and before long i was feeling left out from social outings etc. Struggling with this foreign state of mind (before then i didn't give a crap) i found it hard to concentrate on my job and once i started having issues with customers that was the writing on the wall. The big fall came when i smashed my hand punching the microwave oven after losing my temper with the crew... i had no respect from them at all. That was when i started looking for a postie job. The downward spiral continued at maccas until i left... and the last hurrah at maccas was a vicious rumour that i raped someone. Jaxx's friendship with me was now showing huge cracks and we argued quite a bit. Even at post we initially had our problems but then we sorted it out and it was sweet for the rest of the year. Jaxx left maccas in October.

I also started hanging out with Eva and Duff quite a bit more that year and Bex was virtually clinging onto me wherever i went.

The highlight obviously was landing the postie job. Another gr8 time was in April when Amon hired a cameraman and i got my picture on the maccas wall in pakuranga. That was sweet times.... it was just such a shame that it went pearshaped from there... cos I did enjoy running the graveyard shift.

2008 was full of bad things imo... 2 WOF fines, several issues with my temper... several fallings out with Jaxx... and of course that allegation that made me go nuts.

2008 was also the year that i got onto facebook... for 2008 facebook didn't really cause any problems..... however that was to change in 2009.....

BUSY BUSY BUSY but great timing

Well it looks like im staying in Howick now.  Since my last post there has been issues with another Howick postie... but for a different reason and nothing to do with work.  there are two quotes which ring true in my mind at da mo... both relating to arguing.... i hate argueing... its a gross waste of time and energy... time and energy which i dont have at da mo.  I will also only argue my point if i think there is hope in resolving a crisis... and this latest crisis is beyond help imo.  It definately doesnt need my input anyway... and now that im run off my feet at work with day after day of 3pm finishes (used to finish at midday) i see no need to flog a dead horse... id rather just watch it decompose... ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Currently experiencing issues with my internet... changed over to a different net company and whilst the connection itself is working well... my laptop doesnt seem to be towing the line so im on my Vodem which at my place has bad rec...

Jaxx 40th

yes it finally being written up haha... here it is. All fears of any flashpoints between me and Eva were quickly put to rest as we both got along well for setting up the balloons etc.... but i was basically in my "i'm a male i'm there to EAT" state. i had no intention at all of dancing... well the rest is history really as i DID dance. I did manage to get down to 80kgs for the party as i had hoped to do... anyway rolled up to Skots place with Stipe and stoked the male psyche by talking about food and metal whilst watching MMA cage fighting on the tele.  The 5 of us then piled into my car... me, David, Stipe, Skot and Duff... i was the only one under 100kgs... our total weight was over half a ton lols but white lightning was up to da task. Once at da CNB however i put on my more girly state (similiar to what i was like in 2008 and 2009)... danced, posed and even kissed Jaxx under the kissing bell.  Lots of alcohol was drunk but i didn't drink.  quite funny as...

HOLIDAYS

I'm in the middle of my longest break from work since i started at nzp.  it's goin well btw and i've had LOTS of sleep hahaha.  as for a genuine holiday (ie when it's just ME that's not working) i dunno yet.  i didn't put in for holidays during may but at da mo i'm not fussed.  My entitlement starts in August but remember that i do plan on having a month in OZ next Jan.... of course that may not occur.  i will be taking holidays as i'm entitled to them however as i don't want to have anything owing to me in view of what happened with maccas and the fiasco surrounding that.
