The top 5 BEST years

 from 2005....

haha I like the throw that part in as the year 2000 would definitely be a top contender for my best year... those road trips were epic.

Anyway lets not all get too nostalgic

Number 5:  2009: I certainly didn't think of 2009 as a good year when I was actually in it but then again I hadn't lived the past 5 years so really didn't have a huge handle on what was deemed "shite".  Also it was one of those years where I had petty friend problems... you know... those ones where you think a friend is ignoring you? well nowadays all my "friends" ignore me and of course aren't really friends so I don't really notice that sorta thing now... so I guess the issues of 2009 whilst genuine were not on the same scale as current problems.  btw that was it... nothing else really happened bad in 2009.. post was pretty good and I scored my Jeep at the end of the year.  Maybe the fact that it was my first complete year since 2000 that I wasnt hardcore into kitesurfing (2008 I was into it at the start) that kept this year from getting any higher.  

Number 4: 2007:  My last year fully into kitesurfing and basically dominated by that sport.  Also my last full year at Maccas.  A gym freak this was back when I weighed 70kgs and could do 15 chinups in a row.  may not sound like much for some of you but I can't even do one now so looking back I certainly wasnt doing too badly considering im not built for that sorta thing.  Anyway back when I was still in the 10 years of separation and basically spent my spare time at the beach.

Number 3: 2011:  the most recent year on this list it was a year that  I did stuff for the first time.... it was a very very social year... before things went tits up with the group.  it was also the first year that I had ppl living at mine... BUT unlike more recent years it was good back then. there were however bad parts of the year but the good parts more than compensated... quite an "alive" year.  The Australian trips were really good too.

number 2: 2005:  A year fully dominated by kitesurfing but with the excitement of the move into mine makes this year just a bit better than the likes of 2007.  

BEST YEAR: 2010:  combined the best parts of all the years, the social aspect, work and kitesurfing into a pretty sweet package.  I sorta get depressed looking back at this year and realising how messed up things are now but I guess it just proves that I guess good shit can happen if you give it the chance.  

Anyway that's the writeup for the top 5 best years... there are also 5 in-between years that i'll writeup at a later date.  

correction on my previous post where I said there were 10... there are 5.. for a total of 15 years... NOT 20.

BUSY BUSY BUSY but great timing

Well it looks like im staying in Howick now.  Since my last post there has been issues with another Howick postie... but for a different reason and nothing to do with work.  there are two quotes which ring true in my mind at da mo... both relating to arguing.... i hate argueing... its a gross waste of time and energy... time and energy which i dont have at da mo.  I will also only argue my point if i think there is hope in resolving a crisis... and this latest crisis is beyond help imo.  It definately doesnt need my input anyway... and now that im run off my feet at work with day after day of 3pm finishes (used to finish at midday) i see no need to flog a dead horse... id rather just watch it decompose... ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Currently experiencing issues with my internet... changed over to a different net company and whilst the connection itself is working well... my laptop doesnt seem to be towing the line so im on my Vodem which at my place has bad rec...

Jaxx 40th

yes it finally being written up haha... here it is. All fears of any flashpoints between me and Eva were quickly put to rest as we both got along well for setting up the balloons etc.... but i was basically in my "i'm a male i'm there to EAT" state. i had no intention at all of dancing... well the rest is history really as i DID dance. I did manage to get down to 80kgs for the party as i had hoped to do... anyway rolled up to Skots place with Stipe and stoked the male psyche by talking about food and metal whilst watching MMA cage fighting on the tele.  The 5 of us then piled into my car... me, David, Stipe, Skot and Duff... i was the only one under 100kgs... our total weight was over half a ton lols but white lightning was up to da task. Once at da CNB however i put on my more girly state (similiar to what i was like in 2008 and 2009)... danced, posed and even kissed Jaxx under the kissing bell.  Lots of alcohol was drunk but i didn't drink.  quite funny as...

HOLIDAYS

I'm in the middle of my longest break from work since i started at nzp.  it's goin well btw and i've had LOTS of sleep hahaha.  as for a genuine holiday (ie when it's just ME that's not working) i dunno yet.  i didn't put in for holidays during may but at da mo i'm not fussed.  My entitlement starts in August but remember that i do plan on having a month in OZ next Jan.... of course that may not occur.  i will be taking holidays as i'm entitled to them however as i don't want to have anything owing to me in view of what happened with maccas and the fiasco surrounding that.
