Dramas with idiots

 ah yes it’s finally happened... not long after my previous post I had a run in with the alleged riff raff lurking around in the early hours of darkness.  The confrontation occurred whilst I was delivering the Heralds at about 5am.  To cut a long story short some idiot on a push bike attacked me and threw a brick at my car.   I took 2 weeks off delivery as a result as all I wanted to do was run him over but decided to let the police handle it instead.  I am back delivering now but do plan to leave later on next year.  I have made changes to how I deliver... I’m starting much later now and doing a smaller run... it’s working well.  if a customer complains about the paper being late I’ll gladly fill em in on the degrading social situation here in New Zealand and East Auckland in particular. A few things have changed from me as a result... firstly I’m back in all my social media and intend to stay on there for the time being, secondly I’m a big supporter of the police now... I understand why they are driving around all the streets at that time of night... I had no idea the situation was as bad as it is... and now I allways wear my Herald vest.. it’s not just methed up bums at are a problem... potential vigilante justice is an ever present danger and I don’t wanna be a victim of mistaken identity... cos unlike before I’m fully understanding of ppl assuming the worst now regarding ppl at letterboxes.  I’m also back on neighbourly and East Auckland grapevine and there is a ALOT of crime happening.

BUSY BUSY BUSY but great timing

Well it looks like im staying in Howick now.  Since my last post there has been issues with another Howick postie... but for a different reason and nothing to do with work.  there are two quotes which ring true in my mind at da mo... both relating to arguing.... i hate argueing... its a gross waste of time and energy... time and energy which i dont have at da mo.  I will also only argue my point if i think there is hope in resolving a crisis... and this latest crisis is beyond help imo.  It definately doesnt need my input anyway... and now that im run off my feet at work with day after day of 3pm finishes (used to finish at midday) i see no need to flog a dead horse... id rather just watch it decompose... ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Currently experiencing issues with my internet... changed over to a different net company and whilst the connection itself is working well... my laptop doesnt seem to be towing the line so im on my Vodem which at my place has bad rec...

Jaxx 40th

yes it finally being written up haha... here it is. All fears of any flashpoints between me and Eva were quickly put to rest as we both got along well for setting up the balloons etc.... but i was basically in my "i'm a male i'm there to EAT" state. i had no intention at all of dancing... well the rest is history really as i DID dance. I did manage to get down to 80kgs for the party as i had hoped to do... anyway rolled up to Skots place with Stipe and stoked the male psyche by talking about food and metal whilst watching MMA cage fighting on the tele.  The 5 of us then piled into my car... me, David, Stipe, Skot and Duff... i was the only one under 100kgs... our total weight was over half a ton lols but white lightning was up to da task. Once at da CNB however i put on my more girly state (similiar to what i was like in 2008 and 2009)... danced, posed and even kissed Jaxx under the kissing bell.  Lots of alcohol was drunk but i didn't drink.  quite funny as...

HOLIDAYS

I'm in the middle of my longest break from work since i started at nzp.  it's goin well btw and i've had LOTS of sleep hahaha.  as for a genuine holiday (ie when it's just ME that's not working) i dunno yet.  i didn't put in for holidays during may but at da mo i'm not fussed.  My entitlement starts in August but remember that i do plan on having a month in OZ next Jan.... of course that may not occur.  i will be taking holidays as i'm entitled to them however as i don't want to have anything owing to me in view of what happened with maccas and the fiasco surrounding that.
