Last month of winter

yep spring is in the air... thats despite it being a wet start to august so far.  I've been on run 23 at work but have been experimenting a bit with a few things.... like speed.  Going much slower than the usual flat out i go on that run... but been going much faster inside sorting.... this is what i'm after... a more relaxed approach to my job.  mind you the wet conditions aren't very conducive to racing it outside anyway so nature has forced my hand a bit lol.  Today is meant to be no exception with rain expected later on and a strong northerly.

This means that i could be kiting after work despite other things planned... it all depends on several factors...

  • how long i'm at work for (last saturday was a classic example of this)
  • the weather... namely if its windy, or rainy... or both
  • who txts me before i finish work
Tonite i need to choose 1 of 3 different outings

  • Parakai at 4pm with Andrew
  • Footy evening at gym with Devon
  • Housewarming party with Eva
The evening at the gym with Devon involves a sausage sizzle and watching the all blacks play OZ on da big screen... its just down the road and is free and being so close could be the deciding factor if the weather is crap and i'm tired.

The Parakai outing is very dependant on several factors outisde of my control... how tired i am (i couldn't sleep much last nite), how late i finish work and of course how bad the weather is... but if i get a lift with Andrew then it will make this option much more appealing and to be honest this was the first plan and is prob still my favourite.... i had a great outing last time i went there with the same crowd 2 years ago.

Evas housewarming party is something that sprang up at the last minute but because i could be helping Eva shift here furniture after work today (hence the reason why its dependant on who txts me) it would be logicial to stay for the party.

So there you have it.... let the circumstances decide for me haha...

of course that means if i finish work at midday and it windy but not raining i could just decide to make my own outing in da form of a KITE outing... kite till the weather turns to crap and then go home and sleep till tomorrow morning.... that allways sounds appealing hehe

BUSY BUSY BUSY but great timing

Well it looks like im staying in Howick now.  Since my last post there has been issues with another Howick postie... but for a different reason and nothing to do with work.  there are two quotes which ring true in my mind at da mo... both relating to arguing.... i hate argueing... its a gross waste of time and energy... time and energy which i dont have at da mo.  I will also only argue my point if i think there is hope in resolving a crisis... and this latest crisis is beyond help imo.  It definately doesnt need my input anyway... and now that im run off my feet at work with day after day of 3pm finishes (used to finish at midday) i see no need to flog a dead horse... id rather just watch it decompose... ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Currently experiencing issues with my internet... changed over to a different net company and whilst the connection itself is working well... my laptop doesnt seem to be towing the line so im on my Vodem which at my place has bad rec...

Jaxx 40th

yes it finally being written up haha... here it is. All fears of any flashpoints between me and Eva were quickly put to rest as we both got along well for setting up the balloons etc.... but i was basically in my "i'm a male i'm there to EAT" state. i had no intention at all of dancing... well the rest is history really as i DID dance. I did manage to get down to 80kgs for the party as i had hoped to do... anyway rolled up to Skots place with Stipe and stoked the male psyche by talking about food and metal whilst watching MMA cage fighting on the tele.  The 5 of us then piled into my car... me, David, Stipe, Skot and Duff... i was the only one under 100kgs... our total weight was over half a ton lols but white lightning was up to da task. Once at da CNB however i put on my more girly state (similiar to what i was like in 2008 and 2009)... danced, posed and even kissed Jaxx under the kissing bell.  Lots of alcohol was drunk but i didn't drink.  quite funny as...

HOLIDAYS

I'm in the middle of my longest break from work since i started at nzp.  it's goin well btw and i've had LOTS of sleep hahaha.  as for a genuine holiday (ie when it's just ME that's not working) i dunno yet.  i didn't put in for holidays during may but at da mo i'm not fussed.  My entitlement starts in August but remember that i do plan on having a month in OZ next Jan.... of course that may not occur.  i will be taking holidays as i'm entitled to them however as i don't want to have anything owing to me in view of what happened with maccas and the fiasco surrounding that.
